Privacy policy

Last updated [date]

This policy explains how Extra For Me (“we”) uses personal information, both on this website and in the club portals we run for our partner clubs.

If you contact us through this website

We collect the details you give us (your name, email, phone number, club and message) so we can reply and talk to you about our service.

  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
  • We keep enquiries for up to [24 months] unless you become a customer.

If you are a member of a club that uses Extra For Me

Your club gives us your name and email, and may add your membership number, membership type, renewal date and fee. When you use your club’s portal we also record:

  • the retailers you click through to, and the purchases and cashback the retailer reports back to us;
  • gift cards you buy through the portal;
  • your savings balance and when it is applied to your fees.

Your club can see this information, including what you have spent and saved through the portal, so it can apply your savings to your fees and understand how members use the service. It cannot see anything you buy outside the portal.

[To confirm with legal advice: whether Extra For Me acts as controller, or as processor for the club, for member data.]

Who we share information with

  • Your club, as described above.
  • Affiliate networks (AWIN and CJ) receive a reference number with each click so purchases can be tracked. They don’t receive your name or email from us.
  • Service providers who run our systems: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Google Workspace (email) and Google Gemini (search suggestions: search text only).

We never sell personal information.

Where it is stored

Our database is hosted in the UK. Some service providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Email hello@extraforme.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
